She had been admitted to KMC hospital for about three month, when she finally decided to leave her life on earth. Many of the fourh year students had taken care of her during their paediatric posting. And so they got to know the girl and her family very well. After their daughters death, the hospital did not agree to handle over the body to the parents until they had paid the total hospital bill. This forced the parents to sell all their land to be able to do that. When the student got to hear about the parents money issue, they decided to start an voluntary collecton of money from us college stuents and faculty that would go directly to the parents.
Loosing a daughter is bad enough. Loosing a daughter plus their whole source of income can't be described in words.
Nursing is more than giving injections and changeing bed sheets...
