Mountains And Forever Mountains

I am in Uttarkashi now which is located not too far from Indo/China border, actually! And after the increased tension between India and Pakistan in Kashmir region lately the fear of chineas intruders have increased as well. But luckily the high mountains are protecting us some what😉 And we have been reminded by locals about the Indian army who are up in those mountains sacrificing their life for the country and their fellow Indians!

Mountain life is sure way more different and challenging than living in the south. Weather conditions are more harsh and keep fluctuating. And the risk of land slides and road accidents are way higher. In other words - natures way of living and thriving! It was only a few years ago (2013) that Uttarakhand suffered from huge landslides in the mountain areas and over 5000 people lost their lifes...

But it's so unbelievable beautiful😍
And I don't know what it is, but it's something about the mountains that make me feel so relaxed and far away from any possible stress!
I'm not worried that I'm waisting time doing nothing; a walk up a small hill or a dip in the Ganges is enough of acctivity for one day. Maybe it's the inspiration from all interesting people we meet that makes one satisfied at the end of the day?!

I took a two hour shared taxi little more further up the mountains to a place that had a hot water spring, had a bath for maybe 15 min, spoke to a few people living there whom shared their views about life, inhaled some actual fresh air and went back down again!

Oh, you Gadvali speaking mountain people who have shared your thoughts and ideas with us - you inspire me!
